The best answer is it depends. If you have an event that takes place on the same day and time each week, a week in advance is fine. If this is a special event that takes place 1 time a year or just once a month, you need to post your event 3 – 5 weeks in advance to attract the most guests to your bar or brewery.

People are busy and typically have a routine that they follow for each day of the week. You must give them time to be able to change that routine. Also, give them time to tell their friends about the event and then those friends need to be able to change their routine to attend your event. 1 or 2 weeks is simply not enough time to maximize your crowd. Three should be the minimum you post your event on your social channels.
