Bar Event Idea: Father’s Day

There are two things we have learned about dads – they love meat and peace and quiet. When planning a Father’s Day event keep those things in mind. Here are a few ideas for planning a Father’s Day event at your bar or brewery.

 ·        Pounder Challenge – Just for dads, they must eat a cheeseburger with a pound of meat, a pound of fries, and a pound of beer. Give them a small prize if they finish everything. To really up the game you can rent a couple of super deluxe recliners from a local furniture store and if they finish the meal, they get ½ hour in front of the TV in the recliner.

·        Dad joke competition. Each dad can tell 1 joke and the crowd votes on which is best.

·        Putting competition. You can get a small putting green and give each dad 1 putt for some swag or gift cards. You could also team up with a local non-profit and allow dads to purchase extra chances to win prizes and give the money to the charity.

·        Dad fashion show. Who is dressed the most dad at your place.

Be sure to recognize dads on Sunday, June 18 in your social media and let people know about your Father’s Day event.
