80s Movies That Need Another Look: Knightriders

Knightriders (1981) A group of motorcycle riders have recreated King Arthur’s court and tour the country performing jousting tournaments on bikes. It’s hard to classify this movie. It’s not an action movie, it’s not a comedy and it’s not a horror movie despite being written and directed by George Romero. What it is is interesting. It’s an early leading role for Ed Harris who leads the troupe and expects everyone to adhere to his code as king. There is a cameo by Steven King and makeup artist Tom Savini has a role. It’s worth taking a look at because while admittedly it’s not a great movie, but it is different enough to make it interesting. It is available of Tubi (with commercials) or you can rent it on Prime Video.
